PRINTS now available –
Grutness beach, Shetland Islands (The Sumburgh hotel is in the distance)
I have used acrylic paint onto thin plywood to create this piece. I collected sand from the beach and glued on, with some grass and a curly piece of bark.
These pieces of bark which regularly wash up has a knick name on Shetland called a ‘willie white’ and is useful to light a fire with outside. I believe it is a silver birch bark from Norway (we have no trees in Shetland!)
The prints have a lustre finish, similar to satin, and are not mounted or framed.
Thank you for looking at my artwork.
