Each shell has been hand picked from a beach at Challister on the small island of Whalsay, where I grew up.
These shells are a beautiful bright yellow and orange colour and are Periwinkles, only found on a few places around the islands.
I have used a shimmering black mica background in the jewellery, like a Shetland sunset. The stud posts and back are sterling silver. The hook on the dangly pair is also sterling silver.
I have made complimentary brooches, pendants and gift sets too.

How It's Made
How It's Made
Each piece of artwork within the Sea Glass collection is made from glass collected by Sarah from a beach in Shetland. Varying in colours and shapes, sea glass can be found in abundance here in Shetland, having been washed up on the shoreline after a storm.
Sarah hand picks each piece of sea glass then cleans and sorts them into sizes and colours before incorporating them into her artwork.

Clean using a damp cloth, buff with a dry one.
Polish if necessary using Original T-Cut car polish.
